Once upon a time, the barista would ask, “Would you like that in a to-go cup or for here.” Now, the default is always the to-go cup. I haven’t even thought to ask if they could put it in a real mug, mostly because I usually bring my own travel mug anyway.

I say “for here” every time, and this is the first time I’ve gotten a ceramic mug. Also got a real plate for scones. 🙂

I didn’t know you could get a real mug at Sbux.

I’ve been ordering shorts… because the tall seems too big! I miss NZ & Aussie coffee… 🙂

Agreed! Short seems normal. Tall, big. Grande and the rest, ludicrous.

For some reason, it tastes much better from a mug.

Great coffee is best served the Italian way, in white ceramic.
